Set in one of the prettiest villages in the Vale of Pewsey, Priory Cottage in Easton Royal is an extremely charming, timbered and thatched cottage. The Bed & Breakfast accommodation is in the pretty annexe set in the exquisite courtyard garden, with a separate pathway from the garden to the lane – so you have your own space.
The accommodation provides a twin room and a single room, with a well appointed and well equipped shower room. There are tea and coffee facilities in the annexe.
Breakfast is served in the dining room of the main cottage – complete with beautiful oak beams and period features. The choice for breakfast is up to you – continental style or full English.
You have use of the beautiful gardens as well as the seating area in the garden during the day and the evening. Well behaved, small dogs are very welcome.
This is a chocolate box place to stay – absolutely delightful.
Lunch and evening meals are available from the nearby Bruce Arms, or the White Hart in Burbage. Pewsey is just a couple of miles away with lots of choice during the day and evening. If you don’t want to drive, then the Wiltshire Connect on-demand bus service can be booked in advance from and to Easton Royal.
The village of Easton Royal is linear so Priory Cottage is located towards the end of the lane – it’s very peaceful with little passing traffic. There is great walking from the doorstep – the area is criss-crossed with well maintained footpaths and byways – and you are not far from Martinsell Hill with spectacular views and the Kennet & Avon Canal with endless walking route choices. You can also walk or drive to Crofton Beam Engines and Wilton Windmill and are just a few miles from the village of Pewsey.
