Website Privacy Policy

At the Pewsey Vale Tourism Partnership we guarantee our commitment to respecting and protecting your online privacy.

This includes your need and your right to know what we do with the personal information you share with us. It also guides our company’s policies regarding the management of this data, including how the information is collected, processed, and for what purposes.

‘Visit Pewsey Vale’ refers to the web pages on our website. By accessing this website you are consenting to the way information is collected and used, as described within this Privacy Policy.

In return, the Pewsey Vale Tourism Partnership gives the commitment that we will use the personal data you provide only in ways that are compatible with the following Privacy Policy.

The Collection of Information

If you go into our website your IP (Internet Protocol) address registers on the TSOHost servers. Your IP address reveals no information other than the number assigned to you. We do not use this technology to get any personal data against your knowledge or free will (i.e. automatically recording e-mail addresses of visitors), nor do we use it for any purpose other than to help us monitor traffic on our website, or (in case of criminal activity or misuse of our information) to cooperate with law enforcement.  The website hosting service is provided by TSOHost.

Mailing List

You may decide to sign up for our newsletter when you visit our site, either through the Sign Up form that is on the sidebar, or through the Special Offers download process.  There is no impetus for you to sign up to the newsletter when you are using our website.  When you sign up, we operate a double-opt-in process.  This means that you submit your information and then you will receive an email to confirm that you want to sign up.  If you do not respond to this email, then you will not be added to our mailing list.

We use our mailing list to send out newsletters.  These are sent 3 or 4 times per year with news and updates from around the Vale of Pewsey.  You can unsubscribe from these newsletters at any time by emailing susie@visitpewseyvale.co.uk or by using the Unsubscribe option at the bottom of any of the newsletters.

We will not share your data with any other organisation.  The data is stored and processed by Mailchimp.

General Enquiries

When you make an enquiry from our Contact Us page, either through the form or by email, we will receive your name, email address, phone number (if given).  We will retain that information until the enquiry is resolved or for 90 days, whichever is the longer of the two.  At that point, your contact information will be removed from any address book that may hold it.

Listing Enquiries

When you make and enquiry from a listing page, a copy of your enquiry is sent to the listing (if their email information is held by us) and also to the Pewsey Vale Tourism Partnership.  This duplication allows us to make sure the enquiry is followed up.  We will retain that information until the enquiry is resolved for for 90 days, whichever is the longer of the two.  At that point, your contact information will be removed from any address book that may hold it.
