The Byre is a delightful self-catering annexe attached to the thatched, 18th century Inlands Cottage and situated right in the centre of the village of Pewsey.
All on one level, the accommodation is composed of two bedrooms, a very well-appointed bathroom and a kitchen/living/dining room. It is very cleverly designed to allow plenty of light into the cottage and the interior decoration is warm, modern, clean and welcoming. The fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality – including White Company linen, towels, duvets and pillows, as well as John Lewis furniture – giving the well-equipped cottage a luxurious feel.
The Byre is owned by Maggy Lamb and Barbara and Bob Dalton, who live just next door in Inlands Cottage and so are on-hand if you need anything during your stay.
A welcome letter and a special gift from Inlands Cottage will be there on your arrival and if you would like groceries to be organised for when you arrive, then just ask.
As you are right in the centre of Pewsey, you have easy access to the local shops, tea rooms and pubs.
There is plenty of level walking around Pewsey village and along the Kennet & Avon Canal. More challenging walking can be done from the doorstep – for example up to the Pewsey White Horse or the White Horse and hills at Alton Barnes. Fishing is available at nearby Manningford Trout Fishery, and there are plenty of sites of historic importance to visit within just a short drive. Pewsey is renowned for its easy access to other places of interest, such as Stonehenge, Avebury, Devizes, Marlborough, Salisbury and Hungerford.
You can book The Byre by visiting the website, going through AirBnB or via TripAdvisor.
