If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful break away from it all, then Willowbank Lodges is the ideal place to stay.  Situated in the hamlet of Milkhouse Water, just a mile and a half from Pewsey and 8 miles south of Marlborough, the setting couldn’t be more idyllic.

There are 5 lodges – River Birch and Heron’s Nest are one-bedroomed; Bullrush, Dragonfly and Kingfisher are two-bedroomed.

All of the lodges are spacious and are fitted out to a very high specification, including hand-built, Shaker-style kitchens, comfortable sofas and beds with cotton bedding and goose feather and down pillows (please let Willowbank Lodges know if you have an allergy to organise non-allergenic pillows).  The kitchens are fully-equipped with fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave and dishwasher with supplies being provided for cleaning and you will also find ice cubes ready in the ice trays!

The verandahs which are a feature of all the cabins are ideal for the unpredictable British summer – ideal for a shady spot when it’s very hot and as shelter when it’s raining.  And who wouldn’t want to sit outside in all weathers?  The setting is quite stunning – 1.5 acres with a lake as it’s centrepiece and a stream running through the grounds.  And if you are bringing your dog with you, the verandah also serves as a safe, enclosed space for your dog.

There is wheelchair access to some cabins, with adapted bathroom.

Willowbank Lodges is an ideal location for walking and cycling with the Kennet & Avon Canal just 100 metres away.  You won’t have to walk along main roads – just quiet country lanes and foot paths.

Nearby villages include Pewsey, Milton Lilbourne and Wootton Rivers.  The magnificent Martinsell Hill is also close by and is perfect for a picnic.

Directions
From the B3087 Burbage to Pewsey road, take the turning signposted to Milkhouse Water. After about quarter of a mile, go over the railway bridge, down the hill, over another (flat) bridge and almost immediately turn right at the end of the hedge down unmarked road. (If you miss this turning you will be going up another hill and over the canal bridge so turn around when you can). Entrance to Willowbank Lodges is about 50 metres further down on the right hand side by the small layby with the red post box.
