Located in the village of Collingbourne Ducis, just south of the Vale of Pewsey, Gastro Nicks is a delicatessen and supplier of fine wines – a real treasure trove for lovers of both local and Mediterranean food and wine.
Nick Spaven and Jane Kempsey own and run Gastro Nicks and take time out of their hectic schedule to travel around Italy, Sicily, France and more recently, Greece, to ensure the quality of what they offer is at the highest level.
The choice is enormous and includes hand-picked artisan wine, a wide range of olive oils and balsamic vinegars, as well as chutney, biscuits, both local and international cheeses, charcuterie and regular deliveries of freshly caught fish from the south coast (normally arriving fresh on Thursdays).
Gastro Nicks specialise in food gifts and hampers which can be ready made or you can pick your own products to suit the hamper of your choice.
A very warm welcome is guaranteed when you visit Gastro Nicks and you are able to taste many of the products before you buy. Nick and Jane’s knowledge of their products is exceptional and they will be able to help you decide on the best products for you.
Gastro Nicks also has an online shop if you can’t get over to visit them including a click & collect option. Nick and Jane often have stands at events and run pop-up shops as well as wine tasting mornings and the occasional course – keep up to date through our What’s On page.
Sustainably caught, seasonal fish from fishing ports along England’s South Coast, Brixham or Newlyn and delivered fresh every Thursday and Friday morning.
Friday night is Pizza Night with toppings of your choice – perfect with a glass of something from their range of soft and alcoholic drinks. Have a look here for the current Pizza Night Menu.
When you visit Gastro Nicks, you will find you are close to Crofton Beam Engines and Wilton Windmill. There are also plenty of walks on the doorstep across the downs and Gastro Nicks is also situated on National Cycle Route 20 – why not pop in for an ice cream or coffee and rest in the seating area just outside the shop?
