Bedwyn Footpaths Group Walk
Bedwyn Circular. Sunday 19th January - 4 miles

Location: The Chains, Great Bedwyn (the island opposite The Londis, High St, Great Bedwyn SN8 3NU)
This walk follows paths around the outskirts of Bedwyn and completes a circuit around the village. It will follow the route of our published walk no 2 (if path conditions permit!) You can find a copy of it on our website here
The route starts in the village centre, crosses the railway, river and canal to Galley Lane. Then from Jockey Green it skirts the Brail before heading down Coster Hill and along the water meadow to Hatchet Lane. Then we take tracks and paths over the hills to the north west of the village to Chisbury Woods before returning down to the village by the Three Tuns.
This route never strays far from the village and there are many places where anyone preferring a shorter walk could join or leave the group.
This month the footpaths group celebrates its 10th anniversary. There will be mince pies and chocolates for refreshment on route and walkers might like to pop into the Three Tuns after the walk for a celebratory drink!
No stiles, expect mud and wet conditions underfoot.
