Built in 1811 and once described by Pevsner as the best canal-side scenery in Wiltshire, Honeystreet Wharf is nowadays a much more tranquil place than at the height of the Kennet & Avon Canal’s industrial past. It is in an outstanding setting, surrounded by hills and downs and well worth a visit if you are cycling or out walking one of the many footpaths in the area. Please note that the Wharf building itself is now a private residence.
On the other side of the bridge at Honeystreet Mill, you will find the Honeystreet Mill Cafe which is great for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea, as well as The India Shop for homewares and gifts, Honeystreet Boats for holiday boat hire and Honeystreet Mill Farm Shop. The Crop Circle Visitor Centre & Exhibition is also located at Honeystreet Mill, where you can explore the award-winning exhibition on crop circles, find out the latest crop circle information and pick up information and walking leaflets for your visit.
