The Wheel of Wellbeing

We all know that our physical wellbeing and mental wellbeing need to be looked after.  But it's not all about getting your walking boots out and stomping off around the countryside!  There are other activities such as crafting that can help enormously in improving your wellbeing.  Have a look here to find crafting opportunities across the Vale of Pewsey.

In this blog, Nat Neal from Natalie Neal Ceramics, talks about her experience of how pottery classes can be more than just a lot of fun.

Since opening the doors to my Studio earlier this year, I have become aware how significant the process of working with clay has with your mind and body. Many people have commented on how calming it has been for them.  It’s made them slow down, forget about everything else, have some space to breathe, relax and get a bit messy all at the same time.

In our crazy working lives, taking time out to do something for ourselves is a massive treat, but we should always ensure we make time to do this; whether it is a craft workshop or just sitting reading a book, take that time for you.

As for me, my Studio door is open to give you a few hours of relaxation, fun, creation, messiness and drinks and nibbles too - it's some down-time ready and waiting for you.

Come along for a 3 hour wheel-throwing taster session and if you get hooked, book a course of 6 lessons (there is a little discount if you do)!

Alternatively, do you have a group of friends you fancy doing something creative with? My pottery glazing evenings are here for you; come along and glaze 2-3 pots (all made by me) with drinks and nibbles supplied (minimum of 5 people, maximum of 8).  Dates to suit you.
