Ashley Sandy, who runs Walx Wessex – Nordic Walking, is passionate about what she does. Having learned to Nordic Walk in Switzerland, Ashley has brought this very effective exercise to the Vale of Pewsey where it is flourishing.
But Nordic Walking is much more than just an exercise that will improve your posture, burn more calories than ‘normal’ walking and enable you to go faster for longer with less perceived effort. Because Nordic Walking is done in groups, it is also an ideal way of socialising, meeting new people, discovering new places and walks – and of course enjoying the beautiful Pewsey Vale and surrounding areas.
Some of the walks will stop for refreshments on the way and differing levels of experience and fitness are catered for through the range of walks that Ashley runs.
