The Barge Inn
As you come down off the hills of the at Alton Barnes in the heart of the Vale of Pewsey, cross over the little canal bridge and turn down the lane on your right to the pub. The pub is situated right on the edge of the Kennet & Avon Canal, where you can watch the wildlife and the canal life go by.
You will find a warm and friendly atmosphere the moment you step inside, with a really homely feel.

The Barge Inn is a popular destination for walkers, cyclists, boaters, tourists, horse riders, archaeologists, artists and crop circle enthusiasts. It has featured in an episode of the popular television series Morse and was also featured in Walking Through History on Channel 4. It is located very close to the Alton White Horse and Adam’s Grave.
