Pewsey Heritage Centre
Avonside Works
High Street
Pewsey
SN9 5AF

The ‘no bones, no stones’ museum, specialising in the social, industrial and agricultural history and heritage of the Pewsey Vale.

The building was originally the foundry for agricultural engineers, Whatley & Hiscock, and now provides an easily-accessible, airy and spacious setting housing wonderful collections that are sure to bring back memories.

Learn about how the mechanisation of farming changed the Pewsey Vale’s way of life, see the machinery and try and guess what some of the items were used for.  You can get so close to the exhibits, it’s an excellent opportunity to remind yourself of days gone by and to explain to the younger generations what life was like before their time.

It’s a real treasure trove of interesting items, with volunteers on hand to help you with information and explanations.  Immerse yourself in the centuries of rural history – a visit can be any length of time and with a number of lovely cafes close by, you can have some refreshments before or after your visit.

Disabled parking space right outside the Heritage Centre.

Full wheelchair access and toilet facilities.
