More about Marlborough College Summer School
Marlborough College Summer School will take place from 8 July to 4 August 2018 and host an amazing array of more than 500 courses suitable for all ages, abilities and interests. Whether you wish to learn a new skill or spend time enhancing an existing one, there’s a course that’s just perfect for you.
Established in 1974, Summer School offers adult courses in the creative arts, history, science, body and mind, life skills, sport and country pursuits. The eclectic programme is refreshed annually, and this year is no exception, with traditional favourites running alongside a wide range of inspiring new titles encompassing everything from Dorset button making to contemporary politics, the history of food to Taiji dance and Smartphone photography. You can even learn to fly!
Young people are welcome to attend Summer School either as day students or as residents with their families (Marlborough College also offers a range of flexible accommodation options within its boarding houses). Junior Troopers (3-6 years) and Children’s Activities (6-9 years) adopt the multi-activity approach and feature art and crafts, music, sports and outdoor adventures. Meanwhile, older children and teenagers can choose a morning and afternoon course which they continue all week. Just some of the diverse courses available to young people this summer include Mountain Biking, Yoga, Jewellery Making, Beginners Harp, Cricket, Forest Art, Water Polo, Fashion Sketching and even Lightsaber Combat and Duelling Training!
