Pewsey Downsaround


Event Details


This is a Challenge Event from the Wiltshire Group of the Long Distance Walkers Association

 

On April 28th Wiltshire LDWA will hold their annual, friendly Pewsey Downsaround for all comers, starting from Pewsey with time-limited options of 32, 26, 17 and 10-mile loops over the lovely local downs.

For an entry fee, food, drink and encouragement are provided en route.

From the LDWA Wilts walks webpage as above, select this walk and follow instructions to apply, in advance only and by 20th April.

Distance / Time Limit - 35, 26.6, 17 or 10ml. 12 hrs (all to finish by 20.00)
Start Time - 08.00 (runners 09.00)
Route:
Starting from Pewsey Scout Hut. Circular walk on footpaths and bridleways has beautiful views over the Vale of Pewsey and Marlborough Downs, visiting many famous sites including Avebury Stone Circle, Silbury Hill and the Wansdyke
General Notes
Limited to 300 participants. Route description available on web site end of February to download for use on the day. Well behaved dogs on leads. Mug required. Main car park at SN9 5ES. See web site for more info
