EASTON ROYAL HERITAGE GROUP
‘A GLIMPSE INTO THE PAST’
Saturday 6th April from 2pm to 4pm
Sunday 7th April from 11am to 4pm
in Easton Royal Village Hall
Easton Royal Heritage Group invites you to a display of our extensive archive materials which give a fascinating insight into the history of this special village. We hope the displays will be of interest not only to current villagers, but also to past residents, their families and descendants.
The beauty of archives is that they are never complete and we get very excited when we come across any new material. Search in your attic, talk to relatives, have a look in albums and bring anything along you think we could add – we shall have a scanner so you won’t need to leave originals. Personal memories and anecdotes telling us more about the people who lived here and the kind of things they did, also help to bring the history alive.
Our village is situated in an area of outstanding beauty and a conservation area – many of the 110 properties are over 200 years old. We do not live in a museum but we are proud of our heritage.
So why not come along to the village hall, have a look at the displays, enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Then stroll through the village, visit the church and find out why we think Easton Royal is special.
Everyone is welcome and entry is free. Delicious refreshments available.
If you can’t join us that weekend, but have something you would like to contribute to our archives, please contact Liz Johnson on 01672 810289.
