The Woodbridge Inn is not only a traditional Wiltshire coaching inn dating back to 1786, offering fabulous food and traditional beers and ales, but also hosts a beautiful campsite set in 3 acres of grounds right on the banks of the Wiltshire River Avon.
Renowned for its warm welcome, great food and drink and convivial atmosphere, families and well-behaved dogs are always welcome where there is a secure beer garden – perfect for warmer days – and a children’s play area.
Keira and her team offer a Grill and Burger menu plus Traditional Pub Grub, including their celebrated Sunday Carvery. Ingredients are fresh and locally sourced and special dietary needs can be catered for.
Booking in the restaurant is not necessary, but is advisable.
The pub has a wide range of Cask Ales from Wadworth Brewery, the core range includes 6x, IPA and Horizon but this changes regularly to include a Wadworth seasonal Ale.
Staying at Woodbridge Inn
If you are planning to stay in the Vale of Pewsey, then Woodbridge Inn is a great location. Set just a few miles from the centre of Pewsey village, travelling by bus, car, bicycle or on foot is all on the doorstep.
Full shower and toilet facilities are available on site and electrical hook-ups are available to book, on a first come, first served basis. On site there is space for 30 + tourers, motorhomes or tents. Anything from tents right up to American RV’s can be accommodated, but booking in advance on: +44 (0)1980 630266 is always advisable to avoid disappointment.
The Woodbridge accepts bookings for rallies, groups, parties including birthdays, stag nights and hen nights – but asks for consideration to be given to their neighbours. All well behaved pets allowed (maximum two pets). Owners are asked to clean up after their animals and keep them under control.
All site visitors are welcome to use the restaurant – please call in to book your table in advance. The camp site is open 365 days a year even on Christmas Day. Campfires and fire pits are allowed as long as they are raised off the ground.

From Woodbridge Inn, there is easy access to the World Heritage Sites of Avebury, Old Sarum and Stonehenge, as well as plenty of walking routes, including Pewsey White Horse and Alton White Horse. The market towns of Devizes and Marlborough are a short drive away.
