The village and parish of North Newnton is a very interesting place and, for a small and very rural community, it carries alot of clout!

It is home to one of the prettiest churches in the Vale as well as Cat’s Brain Longbarrow – a Neolithic settlement from 3000BC underneath farmland.  There is nothing to see of Catsbrain above ground, but when you go on our Upavon/North Newnton/Charlton/Rushall walk, you will go past the location of this important site.

Visit the North Newnton Parish website for more information.
