Built in 1811 and once described by Pevsner as the best canalside scenery in Wiltshire, Honeystreet Wharf is nowadays a much more tranquil place than at the height of the Kennet & Avon Canal’s industrial past. It is in an outstanding setting, surrounded by hills and downs and well worth a visit if you are cycling or out walking one of the many footpaths in the area. Please note that the Wharf building itself is now a private residence.
Located at Honeystreet Wharf nowadays are Moonraker Canalboats who offer luxury boat hire for short or long breaks. On the other side of the bridge, you will find the Honeystreet Mill Cafe which is great for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea, as well as The India Shop for homewares and gifts, Honeystreet Boats for holiday boat hire and Honeystreet Handmade for fairtrade handmade beauty products.
