Duck Cottage is a delightful cottage, set in the 3 acres of grounds of Chapel Cottage in Oxenwood – a charming and very peaceful hamlet to the east of the Vale of Pewsey.
The cottage is very well-appointed and well equipped. It has two bedrooms (one superking/twin, one kingsize), a bathroom (with shower and bath), a dining area for four, a fully fitted and kitted kitchen and a light and cosy living room.
Short stays at Duck Cottage are for a minimum of two nights and are on a Bed & Breakfast basis – Tea, coffee, cereal, bread, eggs, milk, juice, pastries, butter and jams are all provided. Weekly stays can only be let on a self-catering basis, but guests are provided with a welcome hamper on arrival.
Home cooked meals for B&B guests or self-catering guests can be ordered in advance ready for heating and enjoying on arrival. Guests will always have sole use of the cottage but only access to the number of bedrooms they have booked.
The cottage welcomes one well-behaved dog (only downstairs and not on the furniture), but please request permission for your dog at the time of booking.
Duck Cottage is absolutely beautiful and in a stunning location. Close to Wilton Windmill and Crofton Beam Engines and with plenty of walking and cycling available from the doorstep. The Kennet & Avon Canal and Savernake Forest are not far away and Marlborough, Pewsey and Hungerford can all be accessed very easily. Country pubs can be found in surrounding villages, so you have plenty of choice of where to eat.
A perfect escape from it all.
